Magic, Mystery and the Weather
Sometimes I take photographs 'on the fly'. This wasn't specifically a photographic expedition but who knows when the right image will present itself - it would be neglectful to visit somewhere without my camera. And so here is Worm's Head. The name is derived from the Norse word 'wurm' for dragon or serpent. Folklore has it that the Vikings believed it to be a sleeping dragon at first sight because of its outline against the sky. It is technically an island although connected to the Gower Peninsula at low tide. Dylan Thomas was once cut off by the tide and spent the night on the island.
