The translucent, papery, and oval-shaped "Honesty" seedpods dangle from the plant’s skeleton throughout winter. I have been collecting these plant pods for many years fascinated by the magic of observing with the naked eye what is inside them. On closer inspection, I observe veins going in and out each seed resembling umbilical cords. The seeds themselves resemble internal organs, and I am reminded of kidneys or embryos with the encasing pod as its womb.
