Galerie Mayci presents, Getting On, an exhibition of Cyanotypes by Anne Crews.
Anne Crews first studied painting at Camberwell College of Art just a
few years after the Second World War. Tutors at the time included
artists associated with the Euston Road School; William Coldstream,
Lawrence Gowing and Victor Pasmore and fellow students included
the likes of Terry Frost and Euan Uglow. Now 94 years old, Anne is
still making prints in the studio at her home in Edgbaston.
Her printmaking is wide-ranging; from etchings to collagraphs,
monotypes and relief prints . Her subject matter is, likewise, eclectic,
taking in still life, landscape and abstraction.
