The Fisherman’s Cottage” Robert Sherratt 19/12/16 acrylic/pencil on wood 37 x 40.5 cm

The title of the painting has a considered disparity with the image. Focusing on the gap between the naming of things and what they actually are. Sometimes I like to see how far a Painting can stretch its relationship to its title. The fisherman’s cottage emerged as a structure freighted with elements of brutalism and hi-tech architecture.
