A new series of sculpture made using Celotex and raw pigment.
Ideas for this new series come from architecture – everything from Pigeon Cots to Buddhist temples, the sort of thing we probably don’t see in our everyday lives.
Some artworks are hollow , one can be entered, others are closed and their interiors are viewable through apertures.
I aim to create a dialogue between the everyday industrial material and some hand crafted objects. Looking through the lens of our everyday Junk culture of concrete blocks hamburgers and car parks to see evidence of other cultures only dimly perceived and often misunderstood.
