48 Hour Micro Residency Winners

Published: 24 August 2018

We are pleased to announce that K.P. Culver, Jamie Hudson and Sean Roy Parker are taking part in our 48 Hour Micro Residencies.

K.P. Culver will be undertaking her residency at our Vacant Space in Chester-le-Street, County Durham towards the end of August. Titled 'Full Physical', K.P.'s project will involve the exploration of the body through a multidisciplinary approach.

Jamie and Sean will be occupying our space in Newark at the beginning of September. They will be producing a collaborative body of work through the collection and exploration of discarded materials.

The residencies were developed to reflect Axisweb's temporary occupation of ex-commercial properties and sought to find artists who can turn a short time-frame into an advantage. Each artist/group will receive £250 to put towards materials and production costs.

On receiving the residency K.P. Culver commented:

“The residency is a great opportunity for me, having the support to fund and explore new ideas with my practices is really amazing.”

Sean Roy Parker commented:

"Grateful to receive the award and looking forward to collaborating with Jamie in a fascinating space."
